Managing today computers and networks is a challenge because a good IT technician implements strategies for maximizing performances and resources in the US companies. Organizations can fully benefit from the move client/server but they need to adopt a service oriented strategy dedicated to supporting the user. A fundamental support technology should be introduced as an integral part of each computing platform.In addition,no matter in what platform you are working on, maintenance is viewed by IT nerds as a necessary evil.

Maintenance is necessary because each mechanical or electrical device has a mean time of failure rating, which means that any component part can fail or break. The cost of breakage of the computer parts is the least evil if you compare it with the complete crash of the system, where thousands of dollars need to be spent to recover the data. It's true that nobody likes to allocate the money for repair and failure but we believe that nobody wants to hear that their network is irrecoverable and their hard drives have been hacked.For these reasons, the right computer maintenance metholodolgy is necessary to avoid further disasters and issues.On the other hand, many other companies allocate part of their budgets to hardware maintenance but most of these funds are badly spent for useless parts.Maintenance is not expensive; it is just a normal operation that we would do like when we have to take care of our cars.
